Lordrush Beginner Guide: What to Do First (and What Unlocks When)
Updated: October 28, 2026
Lordrush looks like a tower-defense game in its ads, but most of your time is spent building a town, growing heroes and playing alongside an alliance. This guide explains how the game actually works, what unlocks at each Town Center level, and what to focus on in your first week.

The four modes you'll play
Lordrush combines several kinds of play in one game, and each uses different stats. Knowing which is which stops you from wasting resources.
- Tower Defense: waves of enemies invade your town. This is what the ads show, and it's mostly early-game content.
- Conquest: a PvE stage campaign with your heroes that also pays idle income while you're offline. Auto-progression unlocks after stage 30.
- Arena: asynchronous PvP against other players' defensive teams, with weekly ranking resets.
- Expedition: the world map. Gathering, hunting, rallies and every alliance event happen here, with your troops led by heroes.

What unlocks at each Town Center level

Your Town Center level caps every other building and gates most features. These are the unlock levels confirmed by the official help center and fan databases:
| Town Center | Unlocks |
|---|---|
| TC 7 | Viking Vengeance (while in an alliance); counts toward the Bear Hunt Monument milestone |
| TC 10 | Alliance Mobilization, Alliance Championship |
| TC 15 | Group chat invites; Mysterious Badge daily-mission rewards from the next day |
| TC 16 | Eternity's Reach |
| TC 18 | Pets (also needs a minimum server age) |
| TC 20 | Mastery Forging: spend Forgehammers on hero gear |
| TC 22 | Lord Gear |
| TC 25 | Lord Charms |
| TC 30 | Final Monument goal; the first 20 lords to reach it unlock the Age of Truegold for the whole Empire |
Your first-week priorities

- Redeem every active code. Each one gives speedups, resources and gems. They take a minute: see the current codes.
- Keep the Town Center upgrading. Everything else is capped by it, and the key unlocks above are all Town Center gates.
- Join an active alliance on day one. Bear Hunt, Viking Vengeance and most of the best rewards in the game are alliance-only. Look for one with active officers, since only members above R4 can start Bear Hunt and Viking Vengeance.
- Push Conquest to stage 30. That unlocks auto-progression, and Conquest pays idle income while you're away.
- Use the Academy constantly. There are 191 techs across Growth, Economy and Battle. Note that you can't research while the Academy itself is upgrading, so time those upgrades for when you'll be offline.
- Turn on Auto-Join for rallies. The Auto-Join panel can join Terror and Desert Trial rallies for you, starting 1 minute after a rally is called, up to the 50 team-reward claims per day. It earns rewards even when you're busy.
- Pick a main troop type. Infantry, Lancer or Archer. Favouring heroes of one type keeps your gear, research and formations working together. See the troops guide.
The Monument: your server's shared clock
Every Empire (server) shares a Monument with 25 milestones over roughly its first 70 days. Milestones unlock big features for everyone: "Kindling Embers" (800 lords reaching Town Center 7) unlocks Bear Hunt, "Banner Raised High" opens the Plains, "Fearless" unlocks Fortresses, and "Solidarity" opens the King's Castle. You can't rush these alone, so don't worry if a feature from a guide isn't in your game yet; your server probably hasn't reached that milestone. Read more on the Monument page.

Common beginner mistakes
- Using speedups on short timers. Several events score points per minute of speedup used. Save them for those events and for long, high-level upgrades. Our speedup calculator helps you see what you have.
- Leaving your alliance mid-event. Leaving during Bear Hunt forfeits that hunt's rewards; leaving during Viking Vengeance forfeits your points and the alliance ranking rewards.
- Letting the Infirmary fill up. Severely injured troops die if it's full. The game warns you at 70% and 85% capacity; heal before you attack again.
- Spreading resources over every hero. Focus on a few heroes that fit your troop type and the modes you play most.
