About the presets

• Bear Hunt (lordrushhub) (10/10/80): The bear does not damage your troops, so a damage-heavy archer march is the usual recommendation. (source)
• Bear Hunt Gen 1 start (lordrushmastery) (10/30/60): A more balanced starting split suggested for Gen 1 rosters. (source)
• Bear Hunt Gen 2 (lordrushmastery) (10/20/70): Suggested once Gen 2 heroes are available. (source)
• Balanced (40/30/30): A neutral starting point to adjust from when you are unsure.

Presets are community starting points, not fixed rules. Adjust them to your heroes and troop levels.

How the three troop types fit together

Lordrush uses three troop types: infantry, lancers and archers. In practice, infantry absorb damage at the front, while lancers and archers deal much of the damage from behind. That's why defensive setups lean on infantry, and damage-focused events like Bear Hunt lean on archers. Your best ratio depends on your heroes' troop types and your troop tiers.
